  1. I like how some of this goes deeper than what is in the book. I’m hoping I can start to identify triggers and stay present in situations and grow over the next few months.

  2. I have a very difficult meeting coming up at work tomorrow with a colleague who didnt agree with a decision I made when I was the relief Principal. Doing these modules today has prepared my mind to be in a better place for that….thanks.

  3. I finally finished this module. I moved through it slow. doing this once a week. And I do think I’ll come back to the content. But I have found this freeing, whatever I’m struggling with or working through, I’ve found it to be relevant and helpful. Learning to recognize anxiety is so important. I think the hard part will be keeping these tools and teachings in front of me on the regular. I’m considering purchasing the journal as well. I’m also curious about how to bring this to my staff and elders. As I go through this, I wonder when the right time will be to bring them in as well.

    1. G’day Nithin, yeah, slow and steady is the way to go and I’m grateful it is bringing you some relief. Feel free to email me to chat about staff and elders – you could look at them signing up and you all going through modules together. Or yep, you could all do the journal together. Or if budget is tight, my book has discussion questions and several of my podcast episodes teach tools. Really, just a regular time of group discussion and sharing would be huge and then you can set budget for whether you’re paying for content or getting free content.

  4. This is hard work and God is bringing a lot of situations to mind that I need to work through. I really want to change how I respond when anxiety bubbles up inside of me. This is going to be a rewarding journey!

  5. Today I was feeling rather low. The holidays have not been happy for me and I believe I have been wallowing in my misery and allowing anxiety to have a deep grip on me. I whined again to God and then sat down and finished 3-4 videos and wow!

    What a beautiful moment for me when I heard Steve Cuss say,, “You can notice you are in the grip of chronic anxiety when you begin to forget that God is with you.” Thank you Jesus for grabbing me back. May I become more and more aware of what assumptions I have.

  6. What do I do when I don’t know what to do….I tend to just do the first thing I can think to do that addresses the issue at hand. I’m decisive and am quick to take charge. Often I miss the bigger issues because I don’t look before I leap

  7. I have been self-aware for quite some time and like you said, I thought that identifying the problem was enough…clearly not because so have not seen much change. I’m looking forward to using the tools to begin transformation, beginning with externalization – both written and confession.

  8. I’m really struggling with the brave practice. One of the largest sources for me is disappointing a client or conflict with a client. If I’m understanding that correctly then I need to purposely give bad service at least one time. This feels really wrong to do, but then it will also create a lot of problems to then deal with which feels like it will create more anxiety when we are already dealing with so many problems this time of the year.

    1. G’day Andrew,

      Yep, we very much get the struggle. You have to choose your level of brave practice that fits your situation. The overall goal isn’t to get you into trouble/cause a ruckus, it is to see that the ‘gospel’ of your chronic anxiety is exaggerating the outcome of a mistake. ie, the false belief has you on a treadmill so you need to practice some version of the opposite to see that it is not as bad as you believe. So, for example, you may not choose to intentionally cause a conflict with a client, but you might meet with a client who is unhappy and notice your internal reaction. Feel free to join an upcoming zoom if you want to explore this more.

  9. Is anyone interested in the beginning of 2024 to do the Foundation Module together. I just completed this module, but would love to have weekly discussion partners. Maybe do a watch party on Zoom to watch a video and then have a discussion together.

  10. This was a super helpful course. It gave me some really great tools to help me realize what’s happening in my body and work through it before I react. The idea of managing my anxiety so it doesn’t manage me was really helpful.
